If you observe, some times we usually get this error message “Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable” when we were starting photoshop, you also facing this problem..? but not now i have google some thing about this problem and i got solution finally. In this following soltion i clearly given how i addressed this issue to get my photoshop working.
Check how i fixed this issue : ( Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable )
- Before click on the photoshop shortcut or main icon just hold the buttons Ctrl+Alt+Shift.
- Now while keep holding these buttons just open photoshop.
- At the time is photoshop loads, a prompt will ask you to delete photoshope settings file — > just click on Yes.
- You are done, now you should to able to open and run photoshop in your computer.
In Generally this problem will arise because of corrupted settings in the software, i think this is not a major problem.., enjoy.
If you are unable to open this time just press and hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift then (right mouse click) a Photoshop shortcut and select Open.

someone has installed 5000 fonts (how he is idiot) to system of windows XP. so When i try to start photoshop7 gives me upward message.
how could i solve it?
first backup system fonts then delete all other fonts so it did about 3 hours.
i solved it with this method.
or you can install adobe photoshop CS…
have a good design.

I am having the same problem… I click on all three keys at once and try to open photoshop (through my shortcut) but it just brings up the properties for the photoshop shortcut instead… getting frustrated… need some help here please!!!
