Rapidshare Automatic Downloader for Linux & Windows

Hi friends, this is really one of the best tool regarding the repidshare downloads, in past we have covered few Rapidshare tools for windows today we are here with excellent Rapidshare script for Linux and Windows. By using this script one can download the rapidshare files via command line automatically. The script will automatically start the downloads in the list, and even if the DOWNLOAD LIMIT has been exceeded, it will wait and retry every 5 minutes until it can download the other files so just follow the lines below.
How to Install on Windows:
Extract the package, and navigate to the rsdown_win folder. then:
- Right-click on rsdown.sh
- Choose open with -> Browse to the rsdown_win\bin\ folder
- Choose sh.exe, and press ok
- Next go to Control panel -> System -> Advanced -> Environment Variables and append the rsdown_win\bin location folder (put in the full path of the folder) to the PATH variable.
How to Install on Linux:
It is very easy for linux users, this is just a simple bash script. Just do the following to set it up:
- Unzip rsdown_linux.zip
- Chmod +x ./rsdown_linux/rsdown.sh

Its Simple frnd,
1. First unzip rsdown_win.rar
2. Now open folder rsdown_win,
3. There you can find “dllist” named notepad file, just add Rapidshare lilnks line by line and save the file.
4. Double click on rsdown ( SH File, i already told you how to open this SH File check above description).
5. You are done !

Really the speed of BSNL UL750 plans sucks.
BSNL UL750 speed is limited 25-30 KB/S, the bandwidth alloted to you is only 256 kbps.
I think there is no alternate friend, if you need speed change the plan, even there is no hack for that.
In fact
256kbps which is equivalent to 32KBps, they stick that.
So there is no alternate dear !
How do you append the path in Environment folder if I have the main folder sitting on my desktop or c:\temp
1. Add the “rsdown\bin” folder in the PATH variable (Try finding Environment variables in Control Panel->System) — bit confused.
When I go to Environment Variables of XP and VIsta I found two variables User and System variables. now where do I add this and what should i put in “Varialble” and what to put in “Value”.
Does this work in vista or XP. Pl. forgive my ignorence and advise so.

- Right click on My Computer –> Properties
- Now select Advanced tab –> At bottom select Environment Variables
- In the system variables box –> You can find path –> Double click on that and Now in the variable value give the path for bin filder
- Example: H:\downloads\rsdown_win\bin
Explanation:
I kept my rsdown_win folder in H, in downloads folder so i gave the path like that

1a] Windows should know the files in bin folder ( i have no words to say exactly )
2a] If you change the system Variables, the system will get the full access i mean.., it can access the commands regarding the program we wrote in the bin folder.
3a] First note down the path in notepad. After your downloads over simply change that [ DONT WORRY THERE IS NO RISK IF WE CHANGE THE SYS PATH ]
Give the system 32 folder path that’s enough
c/windows/…./system32

I got the success after follwoing this instructions.
In the “User Variables” section,
Rhere should be a Variable named “PATH”, if not create it.
Then the VALUE of the variable should be something like that(if it’s on ur desktop):
“C:\Documents and Settings\Your_User_Name\Desktop\rsdown\bin\”

Ive got Windows Vista x64 in case thats important to know
I did all the steps right
Then it just says “abnormal program termination”
could this be some sort of compatibility issue perhaps?
Windows vista will check allll security measurements man…
I think in vista may or may not work. Because Windows vista is not compatible with main software. Think about this one haha.

sorry I realised I was a bit vague there
I did step 4 correctly and then when i run sh.exe then it opened and it was running smooth for a few
seconds before that notice came up and at the same time windows put a bar saying the program has been terminated

I tried to open the application and follow all the instructions but I can’t make it work. All I can see in the on the “sh.exe” window is this:

Please confirm or give me another instruction if it works on (XP Mode) windows7.

Thank you for your reply and the link you gave. I downloaded the Rapidshare Mass downloader and made it work under Windows7. Though I had to fix some compatibility issues and run as administrator. The installation wasn’t smooth as there were warnings…
The application ran and tried to test downloading two consecutive files. It worked! There is just one big problem. That single application takes around 50% of my CPU meter… So I think it’s not healthy and it limits my computer’s productivity. I don’t know if I did something wrong or it is just simply not compatible with Win7.
I’ll also try to make it run on (XP Mode). I’ll let you know…

I’m using wireless to download all the rapidshare links. i’m wondering what if in the middle of downloading and wireless signal disconnected on me what will happen? Will it resume download after wireless signal connect? Thanks

Rapidshare files will not resume to download,
once they got disturbed from their downloading process.
This is the major problem that i am facing with rapidshare

Just read the complete write up on the software. It sounds great if we are able to download from rapidshare without browsing. I would surely give it a try and re-post my experience. My sincere thanks to the developers.
Though before trying i did have few questions,
1) can it download 2 files simultaneously from rapidshare?
2) does it bypasses the time wait restriction imposed after every download?

Check:
1. A) This will not download 2 files simultaneously as it download single file with Full speed
2. A) Frankly there is no way!
But friend, Once the download starts it will take care all the downloads it self ( all the downloads means which we includes in the file dllist.txt )
In windows 7 few people got some errors…. so please give your review regarding the compatibility of this program

How I could notice that the file is downloading……?

Check the screen shot once.!
It was showing…….percentage completion of downloading the file.
Where will it be saved once the download is completed!
Downloaded files will be saved in the dls folder….

This doesnt appear to work for the new windows 7. When you right click “rsdown.sh” it doesnt give you the option to open it with a program. When you finally figure out how to open it with a selected program the “rsdown_win\bin\ folder” isn’t there. This isn’t working, help!

at the begining when we boot the system
but when we install xp again the ” os choice menu will gone ”
and vista is hide
so my problem is that how to recover that “os choice menu”
so that we can access vista again without formatting again

5. So Now What you are seeing in that note pad ( I think only xp )
6. For getting Vista/ Windows 7 with xp at boot time, you need add one more line hear…

If you add some thing wrong… windows xp will gone…… so
Try using EasyBCD,

This program will download only one file at a time, with maximum speed.., if that completed.. automatically lets the 2nd one to download…
If any rapidshare file is in progress, we cannot download the other rapidshare files with this one..
So do one thing…., just add all the rapidshare files to ” dllist.txt ”
Now press ” rsdown “, and relax

There is a small syntax error in the linux version. pretty easy fix for anyone who knows to use linux but just informing you so you can fix it in later releases. Thanks it works excellent other than that

Tried this with Windows 7 64 Bit and it wouldn’t install properly. I have also attempted to use similar programs such as Rapidshare Auto Downloader ver. 3.8, Rapidshare Manager ver. 1.0.0.1, which appears to work, but can only be used if you have a premium account, and now Rapid Pack which is some type of key gen that doesn’t work, at least not for rapidshare.com.
By the way opto there are no instructions inside of that rapid pack archive, only a song by Prodigy and the key gen.

but i have a problem in downloading while the above link have written in “dllist” notepad file and same procedure have done.
and after the clicking rsdown.exe, this message is coming ” Could not get download url. An error has occurred” after during some times.

Your software says – Waiting for 5 minutes before trying again…
Rapidshare asks free users to wait for 2 minutes when there are no download slots for free users. Can you modify it to 2 minutes….. so that there are more chances that one can download. I am trying it for the first time and am yet to download a file…… started using it at a time of peak downloads..I guess. Good work that you are doing.
