Recently pen drives with Large capacity are having many problems like not detecting and not formating.  In general most of us thought that the pendrive is of 64Gb so that this will be format in NTFS Format  but this is wrong in this case.  Kingston 64Gb or any other company pen drives with large capacity will may or may not supports the NTFS Format.  Hear by default in some Operating systems  NTFS Is the default option for the pendrives of this type and they are unable to format.

Solution:

To solve the problem use HP USB DISK STORAGE FORMAT TOOL V2.1.8. You can find it at http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=197. Do not format your 64GB Kingston PenDrive with NTFS file system since it does not function. Use FAT32 instead.
